john cameron mithcell is teaching a master class at the new school.
for the first time I regret finishing school already and moving out of the city.
in other news, I ate lunch on my back deck and picked my first garden flowers today - which almost out weigh being able to take a master class from john cameron mitchell and being in the same room as him during a screening of hedwig. |

I need to write more. I know.
In my last ditch attempt to slim down for the wedding I've been dabbling with my weight watchers points. I started Jan 20. I measured myself when I began and decided to measure the first of every month (since I don't own a scale and hate scales). I've lost in 13 days 1.4 inchs combined. It isn't a whole lot, I know, but it's progress. I didn't expect to see any changes in such a short time. Of course most of the came from my bust. The waist and hips were minimal, but there was a decrease! If I can loose bits in less than half a month and not be 100% dedicated, think of what I can do dedicated for the next two and half months?! I've also officially banned myself from soda and alcohol till the wedding - bummer. But hey, they're empty calories and water retainers. I hope I can do it. I might break. Wine once in a while might be ok. No beer. And it figures I like beer all of a sudden and Andrew and I just bought a bunch.
Andrew and I ordered our wedding bands. simple and classic white gold bands - we'll save the money on what we could've gotten a fancy band for a diamond upgrade, which I like best.
I was going to write about something else, but now I can't remember.
peace |

I thought it would be a bright idea and experiement to see if I could take my nose ring out and put it back in. I mean, I got it pierced 4 months ago. No sweat, right?
wrong. I'm still shaking it freaked me out so much.
for those who don't know, nose rings aren't like earrings. Nose rings look like a corkscrew. Well, I got it out just fine, but when I went to put it back in, I couldn't get the tip to come through the inside. Of course I began freaking out and thinking I would never get it back in and started shaking and getting worried. It would come through and then I couldnt' get it to turn in and the the piercing started bleeding, and it was a mess.
I got it in. my my nose is swelling and it hurts. way to go amy!
what it annoying is I have to get used to this for job interviews. |

| Celebrity Duets. WTF?! |
|
|

mood: for the celebrities
|
I accidentally stumbled upon celebrity duets tonight. It's one extreme to the next. Olympic Gymnasts struggling poorly and, actress embarrassing themselves and then professional singers who aren't singers currently. Like Jai Rodriguez. I like how they conveniently leave out Jai was on BROADWAY! That he used to be paid to sing.
His was good. I mean, of course, everyone I've seen so far it just hurts to watch. but he has quite an unfair advantage over everyone.
oh well.
any show with Little Richard as a judge I can't take too seriously. |

crazy weekend!
-First the L train wasn't running. (instead it was shuttle to G to E to 6) -Saturday I went Margi's to drop off my stuff - sleepover due to the L train drama. -then to Wedding Singer to find out the rush policy changed - the woman told us it was at 10am. -a romp around times sq found us at Spelling Bee lotto to help her friend, and we ended up going. I FINALLY saw it!! ( My thoughts on Spelling Bee ) -we went to Margi's place and watched a Zanna boot with Greg - whom I love now. -um at 8, out at 8:30 in the rain and at Wedding Singer by 9. At 10 we found out rush was at 12 on Sundays!!! -Margi went to church and I waited for noon, knitting on the sidewalk. After I got the tickets I waited for her at the Marquis, which is really nice and great for people watching. -Wedding singer was awesome!!! I love me some Lynch. And Felicia, AWESOME!!! I fought tears at the end, it made me miss Andrew so much.
side note, while waiting for rush tickets Keith from Project Runway walked out of the building across the street and crossed over right in front of me. I wanted to be like "KEITH! Did you really use the pattern books? Are you working? HI!!!!" haha. but I didn't
good weekend all in all. Nice to be back in my bed.
off to Bb for a model call. Friday they called to say it was canceled and today I emailed asking to be kept as a standby, b/c I'm moving so soon, and mentioned today and the woman was like "Um, you're still scheduled, it's not canceled!"
WTF! This is like the second time something like this has happened. I don't understand. |

So here is the breakdown for those that care:
Sept 30 is my last day as a New Yorker.
August 18 I'll be back in NY after 3 weeks in MD
August 23 I'll be free to hang out (mom will be in town for her birthday from the 18-23)
September 10 is my 23rd birthday
Labor Day weekend I will be out of town for a wedding.
so, I am free August 23-September 1; September 5-30.
I want to see all my NY friends before I leave. I'm going to miss you so much. Stupid wedding.
a surprise party would never offend me. :oP
Side note: bought (ordered) my dress and we put a contract down on a townhouse - I could be living in "our" home by mid-November.
ETA: FYI, I'm pretty broke too. |

I just yelled at a postal worker!
Mom overnighted me a book for class and my buzzer kept going, so I kept buzzing him up - I was figuring it was the post office. The buzzing continued and finally stopped. I waited. Nothing. I go to my mail box and there is a "ATEMPTED TO DELIVERY" notice. WTF?!?!
I run up and scream in my apartment, look outside and see him and am like "HEY DID YOU JUST TRY TO DELIVER A PACKAGE? WELL I'M HOME!!!" and he was like "you have to sign" so i say come up and he says he can't. ugh.
so i trudge downstairs in my PJs on the street and sign for it.
what the fuck is that all about?!
apparently only the workers driving the van could enter buildings.
also, I put the last of my glucosamin in my weekly pill thing, it will run out on like Monday. I wish I had realiazed that when I ordered off drugstore.com - which delivered today - USPS can come in the building! |
